SEMOW Lawn Racers
Located in Allenville, MO. SEMOW Lawn Racers is dedicated to good times, building and racing lawnmowers in a family oriented atmosphere, with good friendly competition.
SEMOW Racers first began racing in 1999 at the Allenville City park with about 5 people. We would contact each other and see who was free on a certain weekend. If enough were free we would pull the blades off our "Mowing Mowers" and meet at the park. When it came to the track, we would just throw out some Hay Bales in the rough form of a circle and that was that.
As time went on, more and more people started showing up to watch the races, so we moved across the street to form a permanent track. In 2003, it was officially decided to form a club and "Semow Lawnracers" was born. As of 2006 we have a new, and one of the best tracks in the area with about 20 members and growing. SEMOW Racers travel to participate in many parades and races throughout Southeast Missouri annually. We have anywhere from 100 to 250 spectators at a given race.

STOCK CLASS: 5 - 13HP single cylinder vertical engine, that HAS NOT been internally or externally modified .
POWDER PUFF CLASS: 5 - 13HP single cylinder vertical engine, that HAS NOT been internally or externally modified . MUST BE FEMALE
SUPER-STOCK CLASS: 13 1/2 - 17 1/2HP single cylinder vertical engine, that HAS NOT been internally or externally modified .
MODIFIED CLASS: 5 - 13 HP single cylinder vertical engine with valve in block, that HAS been internally and/or externally modified.

An OHV mower can run in modified class if it fulfills the obligations of stock class. It must be cleared to run in modified class by track Tech Inspector. This will allow OHV motor to run with the modified class (with no internal or external modifications).
